Internet Cafe

So I'm currently sitting in a neat little internet cafe on Parnell St with my Quebecois buddy, Emily. I never thought I would use a net cafe, but here it is. Actually, I've been a couple times, and they're not that bad. Hard to find one with a good deal though. The last couple of nights have been quiet. Mainly hung out with my roommates. Thursday night, we had a "family" dinner at my favourite Indian restaurant, since all 3 of us are going on trips at separate times and won't all be together again til mid-August. The dinner was fantabulous, and we even walked around Temple Bar and had coffee and ice cream before heading back to the flat (making a pit-stop to the video rental store) and watching an Aussie film Zoe picked out. It was my second (although I didn't know it) Aussie film I've seen here, (apparently Jindabyne is Australian)and it was actually pretty decent! They say "mate" waaay too many times though.

Friday night I was gonna go out with Steph and Suzi, some American girls I met here, but I later realized that I really should do laundry, make dinner, and finish reading Harry Potter. So I declined the invitation, and ended up just staying home. So the new HP book is soooo goood!!! No spoilers, but I think it's the best one of the 7, plot-wise. The ending was somewhat disappointing. At the part where ___ dies, and onwards, I seriously had tears forming in my eyes, it was that good. I must have a full conversation with Fran about it soon!!

Workwise, I finished my last day at Dublin Docklands yesterday. It was kinda sad! I reallllly enjoyed working there, and wish I had more time. I also enjoyed all the free meals I got, they were amazing! I called La Creme (my temp agency) about replacing April at Sony once she's gone, and I told her if she could find me something more challenging. Honestly, I don't want to be a receptionist. It is so unrewarding. And I need more money. But Caitriona was like, "well, I can't find you anything harder because you're only a junior office temp" So she basically said I suck. :( Anyway... I did an interview with a company called Claddagh Centre, which is a call center for some business thing in the UK. My interviewers liked me, and I'm pretty sure I would've gotten the job, and I not told them that I'm not looking for something permanent. Basically, they need someone who will stay for at least a 6-7 month period without venturing off into some unknown and exciting country (ie. travelling), but they said they would keep my CV on file and call me next month when some part-time positions arise. Sooooo.... my problem now is, I am unemployed. I turned down both job offers. But I'm not too worried at the moment. Caitriona (my supervisor at La Creme) told me she's email me if she finds anything else for me. So, we'll see.

Anyway, time is almost up at the net cafe so I'll write more later!
